1 in 4 Shoppers Share Back-to-School Purchases on Social Networks [Infographic]

Almost everyone is back in school and the last of the stragglers have purchased everything they need. An infographic from RadiumOne, demonstrates which networks and sharing methods were most preferred, and just how important mobile was during this year’s back-to-school shopping season.

Of the 1,436 shoppers surveyed, 86.6 percent said they would shop in-store as compared to 37.3 percent that did their shopping online. That said, 25 percent of shoppers would still double check prices online while they were shopping in retail stores.

Over 83 percent of shoppers would use a mobile device while shopping, to receive coupons, read product reviews, redeem coupons, manage shopping lists and purchase items.

Only 33.9 percent of shoppers felt it necessary to share information about their shopping online, but when they did, 68.8 chose to share on Facebook. The second most popular sharing method was email, representing 46.6 percent of shoppers. Text messages came in third, at 42.9 percent.
